Default Massive Thanks to all that supported Croft

Just a thanks from the derbyshire and durham RSOC members for all that attended the show.

It was a large risk taking on a full noise day due to the cost so this is just a thanks for making it possible - with out people booking on track and coming through the gate it wouldn't be possible.

It was a shame we couldn't take advantage of the noise due to the weather but it will be back next year more the same, more cars hopefully on the saturday.

The driving was excellent, the croft marshalls are very very happy this year and we had no problems with camping.

So a big thumbs up from us

Everything ran like clock work.

Thanks to all who made it possible and a special thanks for letting me lose my track virginity

I want to do it again though

Always great to catch up with old faces

Thanks Dingy, had a cracking weekend and hoping for more of the same next time!
First time I've been and will definately make a point of coming back next year.
Our convoy got all the way down, on track and back home again without incident (probably because it didn't involve a cossie) so added to the experience.
Two big things took from the weekend were I'm now hooked on BMW's and i never want to see a sausage or burger again for a while....
p.s thanks for the mapping tips, Re: lambda 1!

It's already all been said. I said it to as many of the organisers as i could. Big well done!!

Was a top crack and just went how it should really. My car gave me a world of jip all weekend but it didn't dampen it. Was quality! Had a blast. Cheers to everyone who made the weekend what it was.

Drove down Saturday, pitched the tent and spent the rest of the day watching the track action from the bank at the complex with the wife and Strongbow for company.

Sunday, dry but over cast for the first session.

Wife has a drive for the second as the drizzle started and the car was all over the place. She had enough after 5 laps and thought it was to slippy, just as the space frame car with the S2000 engine went off with the broken steering rack and then the green golf full frontal with the tyres.

Got back out and coming out of Sunny Out the coolant hose split between the bottom of the inlet and the oil filter sandwich plate.

Spent the rest of the morning and lunch trying to replace the bastard!!!!

Back out for the first session after lunch, hitting the limiter as soon as it came on boost and just couldn't put the power down. Braking, well that was fookin scary, brake and turn in was not an option and thought I was going to be a lawn mower a few times.

Finally threw the towel in after the second afternoon session and headed for the 3 hour drive home.

All in all another great weekend at Croft.

Track action is enough to keep you entertained all day! Saying that I now what to fit a set of boddies to my car! lol

I only got home at 11pm on Monday night,so a looooonnnnggggg way for me and my mate Dave and my da to travel. But we loved the whole weekend, both days on track.Just like to thank everyone who helped put the show on,everyone who lent us tools, and everyone who I had a chat with over the weekend, and there was loads of people!!Great show,Croft was National Day for me this year!!As in my opinion,a 2 day event with track action and concours on hardstanding sure beats parking up in a field of grass looking at static cars!!And its the 2nd time that Croft is my Nat Day,last time was the year the "Rock" was the Nat venue, another disaster!!Keep it up Durham and Derbyshire RSOC!!!!
