Gutted for you mate, done something similar a while back, dropped a disclock on the bonnet of my cossie in the garage trying to lean over The way to look at it is it could of been alot worse.Least like you say it didnt get your wings as that would of been a pain to sort,Bonnet raisers do have a use after all

gutting mate. My series 2 shell was absolutely mint where it had been repainted, then one day i was walking through the garage with my front brake discs, one on top of the other and the top one slid off and fell and went right down the door. I instantly felt sick and couldnt bare to look. When i did, i was reasonably lucky as it hadnt dented the door, just left a 2inch scratch right in the middle of the panel. Still gutted as it went through the paint but it could have been so much worse.

graceland- sorry mate but i feel awful coz i just lol when i read your post there. It reminds me of when a mate of mine was using one of the beams in his garage with a rope to hold the engine in place when changing a engine mount and the weight pulled the beam out and he shit himself, turned round to run out the back door before the roof come down but then he tripped over the trolley jack and went arse over tit. Lmao!

Luckily I got away with a couple of small pinprick dents and a few grazes but nothing major - shouldn't of used the rafters for winching the engine up really

I laughed about it after but at the time I was a bit pissed off at being covered with lightbulb dust and black lime
