Default Focus rattle

I noticed shortly after buying my 2003, 2.0 Focus that it has a rattle at under 2,200 rpm when you floor it from low revs or when you labour the engine. It only does it once the engine has warmed up a bit and the car drives fine apart from 1st occasionally being a bit notchy.

Ive made this short video to show what I mean.

Anyone else had the same kind of thing as its starting to get on my nerves now.

Probably the heat shield on the manifold or an exhaust heat shield under the car...........

Rip it off and throw away

Just had the same problem on my ST170.

It was this bracket below that had split at one end, but only rattled when cold !

Just out of intrest, where is this bracket on the car? It it where the exhaust comes under the sump and then bends up again?
