yes mate, providing it was properly maintained, especially the surrounding components, like for example if you let the accumulator bulb in the engine bay go wrong and dont replace it, then it will blow the seals out in the box in no time, most of the failures that people had, were because maintainance routines werent followed.

i dont think ive ever seen a cav or calibra actually using its 4wd, i didn't know it was just down to something as silly as that.

If you want comfort and a nippy hatch, dont forget Golf GTI. Love mine, got all the lux of nice barge yet fun in the bends. Plus maybe get a early up in the miles DSG one for that?

My Bro got an Edn 30 and while it is nice, it doesnt seem a LOT better than a standard GTI.

Getting on well with mine, done a few bits mainly toys like RNS Sat Nav (one out of mk6 golf) Bluetooth added, colour coded rear bumper etc. I had a trial remap put on it (6 hrs driving) and tbh it was awesome! Especially with DSG. I would not even contimplate getting a manual one! Trouble remaps are expensive £600!!! I will get it done but cant afford it until after holiday in July. Plan on getting Remap, Exhaust and filter. All the car i want then with power and toys for everyday car.

If youre talking golf gti then you can count in the tfsi octavia vrs, its 99% as good to drive and is more practical and has more kit as standard. Makes a good do everything daily runner and the golf/skoda/other VAG cars with the tfsi/t-fsi engines are very very good on fuel
