Carpet Washing
Family debate going on here
Basically, my mum wants to get the carpets in the house cleaned and washed. She wants to hire someone to do it as basically she says and my brother that the carpets are "too dirty" for a normal carpet washer (they aren't they are just trying to invalidly argue their point about hiring someone ) and we need someone to do it because they will have an "industrial" strength washer.
I think different in that a decent carpet washer will do the job no problem and I told them that most "industrial" stuff like with pressure washers aren't all that more powerful if at all. They are just designed for constant use and therefore built with endurance and durability in mind rather than actually being more powerful. As usual they don't address what I'm saying and keep saying the same thing..
Neither of us are experts though so I'm hoping someone on here can shed some light on carpet washers and whether it is better to hire someone or buy a washer and do it ourselves?
Cheers!

get someone in, by the time you have hired the stuff, got the hang of it and then spent hours doing it, paying someone to just get on with it seem a far better option.
REMEMBER that when you get you carpets clean, they WILL get dirtier quicker as you will be removing a % of the stainfree/scotchgaurd treaments from the carpet.
Still cheaper than replacing them though.

We have a Vax carpet cleaner/extractor, it has a handy hand held attachement that is perfect for car seats and interior. I was amazed at how much better the carpets looked, and the little hand held washer/extracter made my car interior look brand new.

Must be desperate or shit
You gotta value what your worth to get an idea on what to pay as its the labour that takes the time and costs the most
