FAO Push Bike People - Anyone into their road bikes?
If so i need some advice
Looking to spend around £1000 on a new road bike, has anyone any suggestions on what to get and what to avoid?
What are peoples opinions on compact & triple chainrings?
Looking around i can get a decent spec alloy frame, carbon fork and 105 groupset for £1000 of just over.
I used to be into my mountain bikes but this road stuff is completly new to me!

Nah, I am of the mud plugging distinction. Either blasting through a forest or playing on some rocks on my trials bike. For me road riding is like running, I see the point and the benifits, and I admire those who have the comitment to stick at it, but it just isn't for me. What made you switch?
