Default MK2 XR2 Help please...

Just got a nice early XR2, its a 1985 on a B plate

Did the early ones have a bigger carb or something? remember someone telling me once....

Will it take unleaded?

Cheers!

From what I remember the early ones had a mechanical twin choke carb, after 86 I think they went to vacuum operated twin choke.

The earlier ones had 96bhp opposed to 90bhp in the later ones, the square top dft was replaced with the poorer carb to meet emission restrictions I think.
