Vegitarian?
Is anyone on here a vegitarian?Ive been giving some thought to trying to go vegitarian but not sure what the health positives/negatives are and what to substitute the meat in my diet with. Its not a decision iam making totaly down to animal welfare but also the fact that i hate the thought of eating meat pumped full of chemicals.
Im quite an active person, i used to box and although i dont compete i still try to train 2-3 times a week and ride MX twice a week so I dont want the decision to effect me physically too much.
Regards Shane.

Although i don't know much about it, i can't see how there could be any positives to being a vegitarian. As humans we are ment to eat meat and thats what we've been doing since day one, i don't like the thought of eating animals but just try to block it out.

too right, eating meat is natural and we've always done it.

An ex of mine was a vegetarian...could never understand it myself as said its natural for humans to eat meat... his reasons were cos he "didnt like it" iirc he didn't as such replace with anything that would replace the nutrients etc of meat, he on the rare occasions would have "meat free" sausages, burgers etc, but majority of things he ate were pasta or vegetable based items...
IMO if you enjoy eating meat, but dislike due to the origin of the meat, find a local butcher and get it from there, find out where he gets the meat from and who his supplier is, do some research etc find out all you can etc, should be a bit easier for you to deal with rather than what you can pick up from the supermarket?

Glad to see you still come across as a complete penis on the internet
My argument is, if we shouldn't eat fluffy little moo cows, why the fuck are they made from juicy steak!
Really don't understand the whole veggie sausage thing either, it looks like a sausage, it tastes like a sausage, so why dont you just eat a fucking sausage

recon if we manage to start a roumor that eating vegie food had been medicaly linked to obeasity, small penises and small tits we can reduce the ammount of vegies because some of them are insecure mother fuckers???

It's perfectly possible to be active and a vegetarian. I was vegie for 13 years and for say 8 years I was very active. BMXing an hour every day, swimming 3 times a week, climbing once a week etc.. The only thing I really lacked is Iron. Plenty of protein from Quorn or meat supplements (even if the burgers and sausages are cardboard).

I love a good steak, sausage/bacon roll......chicken burger blah blah.
My pal said the other night "oh i'll cook you something on Monday, how does quorn nacho's sound?" she's a veggie, doesnt mean I am...grr
Anyone tried that shit? she reckons her other mate doesnt eat mince now because quorn tastes better...find that hard to believe!

I have eaten quorn mince before, to be honest its not too bad. Massive amounts of salt in it though, certainly wouldn't want to eat it regularly!

yeh ill agree with ya there, the quorn mince is ok, and the chicken style pieces are alright, obviously not the same as the real thing, but they aint bad!
