RIP Ronnie James Dio \m/
Ronnie James Dio, of Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and many others, passed away yesterday after losing his battle with stomach cancer, aged 67
The guy was a true fucking legend, despite whether you like his music or not, he pioneered rock and heavy metal, and was arguably one of the finest metal vocalists of all time. "Stargazer", from Rainbow's album "Rising" is renowned as one of the greatest songs of it's genre of all time, as was my personal introduction to the great man.
I was lucky enough to see Dio perform with the "Heaven & Hell" Black Sabbath lineup a couple of years ago and it was just a next level spectacle!
