Default Best place to sell a sofa online or otherwise?

Basically I have what is essentially a brand new sofa that is surplus to requirements, i.e. it doesn't fit into our new place.

We bought it from CSL last year, it's a Maxim Corner group with chair and footstool, we bought it for £2600. I'm wanting to get rid of it but I have no idea apart from the piss take that is ebay of where to sell it?

Has anyone sold a sofa online before? I'm not too bothered about where the person is in the UK who wants to buy it as I'll Shiply it over to them.

Any help appreciated as it needs to go ASAP!

Cheers
Tim

Local free ads or paper? If you're desperate to get rid and ain't fussed about getting money for it there's loads of housing charities that'll take it off your hands!

Is this the suite?
http://www.csl-sofas.co.uk/checkout/index/Maxim

Colour and whether it is a left/right/equal layout would help.

I'd hope it is worth more than the £120 mentioned above, but used furniture doesn't seem to sell at all well.

Sorry chaps, was rushing abit when I posted this.

It's the right hand one, pictured on the website, with the large chair and the footstool. Add it all up together and I think it comes to over £2200.

I don't mind going half way in terms of delivering it if somebody likes it, but I'd need money up front as I'd need to hire a van. Chop if your seriously interested mate (or anybody else) then do let me know.

I'll post it in items for sale on here later and then do as others have suggested, gumtree etc, cheers chaps.

I have no need for a seat as well so price would have to reflect that. What colour is it? We're about to redecorate our kitchen and buy a new sofa at the right price.

Of course bearing in mind i can stroll in dfs and get one on 4yr 0%!

We have moved into a smaller place recently, and we now have another sofa so this one is surplus to requirements. Alot of cash tied up in it so it needs to go

Now for sale: https://passionford.com/forum/non-fo...roup-sofa.html

I did originally ask £1800 for this but I'm thinking realistic now, so I'm only asking £1500 for the lot now.

Cheers

Good luck with that, mate, though I honestly think you will struggle to get much more than £500-£750 (if you can even hit that). It's a nice suite but people just won't pay the true value for second-hand furniture.
