Default Car adverts / spelling errors

Would it put you off a car if the person selling it couldnt spell ? Im a pretty crap speller myself but id certainly check what id written if it was for an advert etc?

I had to stop reading that advert, took longer to try to figure out what spec the car was. If you are not great at spelling at least use spell check or get someone who can spell to proof read it for you.

Would I heck. Especially with something as ten a penny as a passat. If they've not got the brainpower to string a sentance together, would they have the brainpower to maintain a car properly?

It tends to put me off, especially if it is all text talk. The odd spelling error is one thing but nearly every word?

I also tend to go of the surrounding area along with the description to gauge what kind of person owns the car, maybe unfair but often turns out to be right.

100% put me off. It's lazy and stupid. If they can't write a decent advert they need to ask a grown up.

Yeah totally agree, presentation is everything. You need to make an effort for that sort of thing. I also agree though that there is no link between a person that has poor spelling and a person that can not empty the fag packets and juice bottles from the rear foot wells. However, if some one is not in the habbit of checking what they have just typed are they going to be in the habbit of checking anything they do?

Yep 100% put me off too. If i did speak to them they'd really need to change my first impression or i'd look for a better seller.

What put me off even more than the spelling were the white stains on the driver's seat...
