**Desperate Trackside Plea - Knockhill Time Attack - Bilstein Springs**
Hi guys,
I've spent the day with Ronnie Amis at Knockhill helping him get the car setup and ready for Time Attack tomorrow.
Before coming up he fitted a set of Bilstein front dampers (with no damping adjustment unfortunately!) and 600lb springs. We've had BIG problems with understeer all day and having exhausted all options with geometry, castor, tyre pressures etc. we're now desperately looking for some softer springs.
They're 2" diameter, 8" length springs and ideally we're looking to drop down to something more like 400lb rating.
If anyone can help - we'd be eternally grateful and there's cash waiting for the right springs to get them fitted in the morning before first practice!
I'm on a wireless dongle at the moment so might not be able to get back on here much but if anyone can help, please call or text me on 07969 521847.

just finding my feet
bilstein dont make springs it will be HR or Eibach that make em
i no longer work at bilstein so i dont have the same access to get info im afraid,, i wish i could help though

Thank you for the bumps on this thread and to everyone who tried to help us.
A special thank you to Andy Gallacher for going back to work late last night to check if he had anything that would help us
Unfortunately he didn't and we weren't able to change the springs so had to do the best with what we had and ultimately saw Ron running 1.00 minute dead virtually.
It would have been nice to have broken the 1 minute barrier but as Ron put in 30+ laps between 1.00 and 1.01 minutes - I think it's pretty safe to say neither he nor the car had anything else to give!
