FAQ waterbase painters
iv start using waterbase paint with a 1.3mm setup an i seam to be getting dry spray alot? whats the cause of this?

what pressure you spraying at?? i'm on a 1.3 an spraying at 28-30psi. (i think..lol)
also what kinda gun?

Pretty sure i'm running a 1.3 setup on a gti pro. Spraying at 2bar. What paint you using and whats the thinning ratio?

its lesonal paint, the man give me this little bottle of clear stuff to mix with it an said you dont thin it?

That clear stuff is probably your thinner then i guess. Hard to say why then.
How are you applying it, cos you can proper lay it on, not like solvent

were on standox at work. it's thinned to roughly 10%. it's pretty lumpy to spray if it aint thinned down. the standox stuff is thinned down with demineralised water. might be worth trying to thin it.

iv been dusting it on so thats the cause?

theres your issue mate, i usually give it a light coat, 2 wet coats then a drop coat. Giving each coat time to dry between.
Also some people like to drop coat while its wet but in my experience it doesn't really matter
