popeye your too good!
he looks a little bit pleased to see the old girl again after nearly 15 years,
when you looked under the bonnet and checked about, looked at the chassie plate and said this was all correct and he could not beleive it had not changed,

yer met him a couple of times before,
but this was the first time he has seen the car,
he was very pleased,
and chatted for a while about raceing them,
told me a few bits that where interesting,
like the labatts graphics where done, to advertise labatts, with a one million pound deal for two seasons with tim and lawrence,
the dont drink and drive logo, was done because they did not think it was in good tast to advertise a beer on the car, so the only way to get it on, was to sell the consept that they where premoting the dont drink and drive message,

hi,
if he can fit it in his calander, he will be up for it,
he is organising a dvd with duke about the sierra and had the editer meet me at autosports,
so in the next couple of months we will be doing some laps on a track for duke with cameras inside and out ect,
he is also doing some laps in his original rs500 road car,
so should be great, it should have some footage in ITV with the btcc coverage about his driving his old car again,

hi,
harvey sold his black rs500 road car, a long time ago,
but we do know the new owner and he will let harvey have a drive aain for the dvd,
have not heared whot lawrence bristow is doing theses days,
his old sierra rs500 was converted into a thunder saloon, so does not look anything like it used to, he even changed the rouse engine for a 600 bhp mountune engine, and yes i have seen the car myself, its a bit ruff just like most thunder saloons raced to death.

Great news about the DVD, as the duke Sierra Video didn't have much about the touring cars, and TBH the BTCC videos didn't have much backround info on them. It'll be good to have a whole DVD just for the Seirra a bit like dukes Skyline DVD.
I also find it nice to hear what the drivers thought of the cars, both at the time and now - looking back.
Has anyone spoken the other drivers if the BTCC or even WTCC/ETCC rs500's?
If so what did they have to say about em?

IMO............The race suits also a part of the history,
so well worth putting on show from time to time........
