Default broadband question

ok , i have a 1meg cable connection to house , i have a boradband modemy type thing , it has the fascility to have a connection of usb or lan to the computer

which is the best way for the computer to be connected to the broadband modemy thingy ??

USB or LAN 10/100 ??????

mt motherboard has this LAN onboard
