Just returned from a weekend of motorway milage and as the miles rose i found myself getting more and more annoyed at folk and there road manners.. but my new pet peave is folk who chug along at 50mph in the inside lane forcing wagons to into the second lane just as you've lined yaself up to over takeyour slowed to 56 as theres no space to move over into lane 3..

 

People who dont get in the right lane to start with.

People who drive 20mph under the speed limit which in my opinion is just as bad as driving 20mph over it.

 

well. ive just done a whole shit load of motorway driving. and the most annoying thing i find is twats in BMWs and Mercs speeding up your ass in the 3rd lane and under taking, when im just thinking my old ford could have either one of them

Where should I start? How's these for starters:

Inept drivers
Drivers who dawdle along at 50 in lane 2, 3 or 4
Tailbacks out of nowhere
Golf GTi and M3 drivers who are always eager to scrape some paint off your rear bumper
BMW drivers that didn't ask for indicators in the option pack
Drivers and passengers that flick fags and crisp packets out of the window
Mercedes drivers that have entire meetings with a mobile held to their ear without a police traffic car in sight
Roadworks with no bugger working on them
Potholes and tramlines despite exorbitant road tax
Van drivers that can achieve 90mph in lane 2 only
Drivers who give way to muppets pushing in from the hard shoulder
Little Vauxhall Meriva type cars indicating left then moving right, cutting you up
Sitting at the back of a tailback, waiting for some blind 'tard on his phone or lighting a fag to plough into the back of you

 

I once had a wagon driver launch his teabag straight out the window just as he came onto the m1 from the services..

 

-People who sit in the middle lane for no reason
-People who sit in the right lane for no reason
-People that don't use the inside lane
-People that travel at stupid slow speeds in the middle and right lane
-People who I end up under taking because they insist on sitting in the wrong lane

If folk used the over taking lanes as just that' the motorway network would work much much better...

not really motorway thing here but people who treat the dual carrageway beside my house as a motor way, bimmer drivers who didnt specify the indicator pack and the bimmer and audi drivers whe drive up your bumper or if on a bke acutally try to hit you

 

it should be part of ypur driving test i feel ! like once you have pased the first part of your test there is a second test enabling you to use motorways or something along these lines as thats half the problem that these people are uneducated !

that about sums it up for me, 1 hour everyday spent on the M11, does my nut it, but me and other half in our transits soon let them know by passing both sides of them at the same time

 

What annoys me most are drivers that take the gap that I leave between me and the car in front. No, it's ok, take my braking zone, it's fine......

I had a "discussion" with a woman from work who sat in the right hand lane down a three mile stretch of dual carriageway because she was turning right at the end. At 50mph in a 70.

I asked why she didn't move over and let me past and she said "It's up to me what speed I do in what ever lane I like."

I said read the highway code and that by driving like that there was alot of wasted tarmac around the country if people like her were turning all dual carriageways into single carriageways.

 

People who dont look at the road in front of them just stare at the end of there bonnet, then results in accelerate, brake, accelerate, brake etc, etc.

Yeah this is my main gripe about driving on the motorway, i leave loads of space for braking and also because i dont want any stone chips etc, but theres always one fucking donkey that has to cut in as if theres a low flying harrier jet coming their way

And by the way all of you feeling guilty for undertaking morons, there is no law about undertaking so feel free to do it........you'll get done for dangerous driving if you change lanes to do it then change back but if your lane is moving faster than theirs then just blast on past.....

and in Vancouver where I live the police!! they like to stop on the side of the motorway with their lights on for no reason at all. happened to me today as I was driving down town, so much traffic then in the distance I see flashing lights, so as I get passed it, there was no traffic!!

 

So basically everyone in superior vehicles then!
