Default My Rwd mk4 ...... value?

I’ve been thinking of selling my rwd mk4 escort, no real reason - just the time of year perhaps lol
The cars road registered on a Q (ex London rally school car) but I’ve not actually tried to put it on the rd

Brief spec

2wd Cossie engine
T34 + all the normal stg 3 bits n bobs (330 odd bhp)
2wd box
Brand new S1 alloy rad
7x16 Compomotive TH alloys
Wedged adjustable coilover Bilstein frt legs
Roller top mounts
Adjustable bias pedal box
Godspeed d/g 304mm frt discs + 4 pots calipers
Braided lines
In-situ adjustable tca’s
Anti dive kit
Quick rack
Live atlas lsd axle
5 linked rear end (all new bushes + rose joints)
Adjustable rear coilovers
Full cage and firewall
Harnesses and buckets etc etc
+ Loads of other bits n bobs lol

Car needs a few bits tidying properly but in general it’s a fun toy

Short Vid prt 1

Short Vid prt 2

See it even moves

How would you value it ?

Ps, This isn’t a for sale ad either!

If you were looking to sell, depending on how tired any of the bits are and how quick you need to get shot, I'd say in the region of 6-8K, if you find the right buyer.

To be honest I think 6-8 is too High

I think you're more looking 4800-6000k maybe upto 6.5k

There was one on here recently a gartrac one that went for around that.

Down points of that car were the body kit in my opinion.

This one is quite a lot cleaner looking and would appeal to more people- I just think at that price it would sell and any more you'd be hanging on to it for ever.

My opinion purely

As I said, it depends on how quick you need to get rid, and the condition of all the parts. My mate bought a genesis shell a couple of years ago, good condition but needed paint and some panels, for 2K, so you could say that the shell, BBD, bumpers, bodykit could realise 3K if it doesn't need painting, to the right person. If you add up the value of the parts if the car was to be broken, if in good condition, I don't think a starting price of about 8K is too much, and work down from there. It just needs that 1 person who wants it and has the money, if selling time is not a problem.

ive been speaking to brom about doing this conversion for me and he reckons about £2500 all in. add that to the rolled shaffy in the for sale section (£2200) and the cost of a rs turbo (£2k ish) works out at £6700.

but then you could sell the remaining bits off the shaffy leather £300 other bits and bobs and the rst running gear £300 and you could get it all done for about £6k

how about the fuel tank (£250-300), exhaust (stainless £400-500 if from scratch), prop (£80), pedal box (£150) and anything else (loads of bits) - it all adds up.

sorry but i dont agree with this add up the bits to find a sum. Think about how much it would cost to build a brand new car using genuine brandfire parts and i bet its more than the rrp

I'm not saying that if you add the price of the bits up it will come to 8K - I'm saying it will come to more.

I have a Genisis MK3 shell and am building a Cozzy 2wd into it and it has cost me arround 6k so far and will cost me at least 3k more so 7k to 8k for a built one is a fair price.

Fraid not mate. £4-6 IMO because:

1) You will NEVER get back the money you've spent on a modified car. EVERYONE knows that. You'll get 60-75% IF you're LUCKY. Thats why people break them up.

2) Who remembers Donk's 300 odd brake Blue 4x4 Gartrac? Took FOREVER to sell. Started at 7 went for just over 5. Therese a milllion and one people on this site and elsewhere that would like to have one, but faar fewr that actually will part with the money.

I really like Wyns car, looks fairly tail happy in some of his drifitng vids Ive seen previously and he has kept it in very nice condition. But its a limited market for these cars. So to me theres no point in trying for 7+
