focus tdci fuel filter?

Default focus tdci fuel filter?
hi all, im just doing a service on my focus tdci, im changing the fuel filter and in the haynes manual it says to fill the fuel filter up with diesel first by hand, is this really necessary?

yep as the low presher pump are not very good

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure is is FULL..........

My mondeo one was a tiny bit off full and it took HOURS to get the fuel through for the car to start up!!!!
