H.Engineering, F.Motorsport, Hub Dyno

I think the GT35R is on its limit, i will probably run at the lower boost setting most of the time, i also fitted an additional silencer whilst on the hub dyno and tested it at full boost, the engine lost 30 wheel hp. I may be forced to use this on track as the car is a bit noisey when on boost at high revs.
I will try to avoid using it as i am concerned with the strain it will put on the rest of the exhaust and more importantly the exhaust manifold hanging off the end of the tail pipe.

Surely a proper straight through design will have negligable impact ?

Early morning adrenalin rushes
Looking forward to getting the car out again now the weather is brightening up a bit, tried a couple of early morning ones when it wasn't quite warm or dry enough earlier in the year, shit myself!
Did a lot of track days last year and got the car set up fairly well, got my race liscence as well but back to early morning joy rides and the occasional track day as i'm committed with other things, mainly keeping the wife happy!!!

Hi Porkie,
Dont think i will ever be able to do the Bedford track without doing something about the exhaust system/sound proofing the engine bay (open sided to let heat out), was still getting thrown off Snetterton regulary with a static of 105dba and drive by of 98 on the lowest boost setting and backing off for the noise meters, i've been told Silverstone are a bit better with the noise police???
Should have done something about it during the winter but unfortunately the car has been neglected, on my last outing though i realised that my exhaust had come away from the turbo so i am hoping this was a contributing factor, hadn't noticed as it was all wraped with heat proofing.
I also want to ensure a better chance with the weather, done way too many track days last year in the pissing rain, wouldnt have normally got the car off the trailor but i needed the practice!
On the one hot day i had i had some coolant temperature issues, i have done some mods but didn't get another hot day to see if they worked, i have a feeling this may come back to haunt me!
Hopefully catch up with you guys one day though, i'm sure you will have fun embarrising me with my driving abillities!!!
