Default Rust holes - MoT failures?

just to the right of the brake pedal is a hole in the floor, i thought it was just surface rust, but upon poking with a screw driver, its not

i do have some alloy sheet cut up to be riveted over the pressed holes, but need to get the floor plated first, but is it an mot failure?

and second, you cant actually see it in the pic, but its right in the corner of where the bulkhead meets the inner wing, near the suspension turrett, there is a very small hole. but it looks a right git to welder in there as not much space. will that one fail the MOT?

im asking as obv i cant drive it anywhere yet to get it sorted!

iirc any rusty hole's within 12" or 30cm of a suspension mount is a fail.

Thought it had to be within a certain area of structural (sp) zones of the car to fail on rust holes

corrosion will fail within 30cm of a stuctural point
so drill the corrosion out with a drill and put a gromett in the hole and it will pass as its not corroded then

sad but true lol

But as said above really. Would you weld it yourself? If not, stop worrying about it you girl and get someone else to do it

I'd do it for you, but distance wise...you're better off pushing it that 1/4 mile

the hole is where the pressed holes are, to the right there is a brown stripe, at the top
of said stripe is the hole.

got a few bits more to do that will hopefully get done this weekend, then ill see if the welders round the corner are open next weekend
