Warning DTA
Sorry if this is OT, you can transfer it or delete if it is.
Last few months I made an effort and found out that for some reason DTA is launching many failure ECU's outside UK without warranty.
After writing about this on few forums because I got failure S40 (confirmed), there are also peoples that contacted me with same problems, mostly outside UK. To all of them DTA ignored to cover warranty, and also Allan do same to me.
I found that DTA sold something about 30-40 failure ECU's in Netherland and Belgium to tuning houses. Non where repaired for free, but all have warranty. Some failed after a few months, others after a year. They charged 150 euro for a repair.
To avoite phone calls from Belgium or Netherland buyers he took Alons Motorsport as a distributor. That guy was even worse!
I got complint from AMT-DYNO that they bought few of them and never got any refound. They had few cars on dyno and must explain customers that their cars can't be done on time because DTA send failure ECU's
There are few suits because of that.
Also found out that they sold few non working ECU's to TPMotorsport, and few of them to private pearsons in Hungary, Slovena and Greece. That is for now.
I am not selling any ECU and haven't got any profit from this, I just want to find other peoples that had same problem so we could do something to get refund from DTA. Maybe they think that they are untouchable to law from countries outside UK so they have low class of ECU for that market.
If somebody here also bought failure ECU free to contact me; dejan_kuticic@yahoo.com
Thank you!
