Default How long do wait before going mental

Bought a piper cross air filter off a guy on ebay with great feedback 99.7% for over 7000 transactions.Filter arrived on saturday and opened it up only to find it wasn't nearly the rit one as it has a 145mm diameter and mine is only 90mm.
Messaged the guy straight away and enclosed picture and i havent heard anything back yet.
I understand it easter weekend but how long do i give him after that.

It said it was 145mm and it was for a clio 172 but looks more like its for a clio 1.8 16v as they had 150mm intakes on them.
Ididn't really check the size of my car before hand as we were getting pounded with snow but the guy said it was a staight bolt on cor a clio 172

well in thoery you bought what was effectively the wrong filter but it was the one he was selling so in reality he doesn't have to do anything about it

as he listed it as a 145mm and you say it is a 145mm filter

so???

why go mental at the seller

lesson learned i would say

its up to buyer to check things like weather it fits your car or not

just my opinion though

If your car is a clio 172 and the bloke has told/stated it fits a clio 172 then message him saying and if he still says not his problem open a dispute up and you will win because he said it will fit a clio 172. Give him till wednesday to reply to

Not going metal just now as i understand that its the holidays.
It was advertised as a direct fit for the clio 172 and i asked if i needed any adapters for it and he said no its a direct bolt on jobby even came in a box that stated on the side for clio 172 which it is not so i would say regardless of the diameter size which most people wouldn't check if they were told it would bolt straight onto there car i would say i was sent an air filter that is wrong
