Default Chips Shed No 2

I took my inspiration from the chip build thread of his shed and started to get to work yesterday.

Put some thought into it and wrote some stuff down then started knocking down.

My initial thought was to knock it all down and start again but what with costs involced and the fact that 90% of the structure is fine and has been standing for a long time i decided against it.

What i did however start to do was remove the old spider infested nuclear bunker of a shed. Never got used as the stupid structure didnt really allow for shelfs and was unorganisable.

It was also as said spider infested and i did not want to be in there, Also no electric in there.

Anyway my plans are as the rear wall of my double garage is supporting nothing and bowing/falling down (the only bad bit) it is going to be removed and a block wall built.

The wall will be extended into the now open space go up the far left hand side of the garden to the back service road and back to the garage, A door will then be knocked through to the new flat roofed structure that is attached to the double garage which will creat in a way a 3 car garage.

The floor will then be all concrete smoothed to one level and the walls of the existing garage will be boarded and painted, i will also have a ceiling installed sort of with a hatch for access to the beams.

Although as i already have a 2 car garage and a 2 car front im going to have it as a benched work room/parts store/a bit of everything.

Somewhere to store all my cleaning stuff aswell

I love having a double garage and couldnt imagine life without it however im worried about the structure due to the rear wall and this will shore things up.

Here are some pics of the first progress.

Spider infested shed!

Shed gone

Rubbish

Inside Garage

Outside, This is the wall that will be renewed.

Would you add a window into the garden on the far left? its being spoke about.

any other ideas while this is being done?

How much do you think this will cost in the end.

My uncle is a builder and will be doing it with me every weekend until finished.

Cost so far £0

Using the final pic as a diagram thats the wall that will be replaced and rendered, The wall will go all the way to the far left and the round to the front garage door area which will create another large room.

The wall on the left will be the one with the door for the new room.

The new room will only be able to be entered from the inside of garage.

Thought i would share my ideas, i think this will make for a wicked garage when its all done for minimal cost!
