Just caught the news and the chinks have announced that the new MG6 Turbo will be for sale in the UK soon, what are people's thoughts on this?

Bit of info from autocar:

"Shanghai Automotive will offer two versions of the MG6, both front-driven via a 5-speed automatic gearbox, and both powered by its ‘N-series’ update of Rover’s old 1.8-litre ‘K-series’ engine. The entry-level car develops 133bhp and 135lb ft or torque. The range-topping turbo, which we drove, gets 158bhp and 158lb ft, and SAIC claims that it’ll hit 60mph in 8.5sec before going on to a top speed of 130mph."

I can't seem to find a price for it anywhere, would be interesting what they value it at considering it's been labelled a "hot hatch".

dont look too bad, but them eninge specs are well, shit,

158bhp 60 in 8.5 seconds.

its got moddern hot hatch looks, but the performance of a slug, thats been steped on, shoudn'y be a rockship but 200bhp with high 6s or low 7s would be about right

I agree, it doesn't look all that bad but the engine spec is pathetic.

If they're planning on this car being the new face of MG and pushing it all across Europe it really needs to be cheap as chips to buy, maintain andd run in order to attract any kind custom.
