ha i saw in the paper a bloke whos mrs had given birth to his son, she looked about 40, but he was 74 years old!!!!

depends how fit and able you are mate! when my 3 yr old goes to bed i could go to mine!! guy i work with has just had his 3rd and he is 52! he says its brought him a new lease of life, and although he is knackered all the time, he thinks its the best thing for him.

theres and old boy im my village who has 13 kids, he's now mid to late 70's and his youngest is 4yrs old. all depends on the bloke?

As above it depends on your lifestyle etc but i dont think 44 is to old! mind you when the kids 16 the old mans kicking on 60 odd.

44 puts you in your 60s by the time you are teaching them to drive, thats older than ideal IMHO

But that said, if given the choice between an older father who loves them, and some chav scrote who hasnt even stuck around, im sure most people would want the older father who loves them!

There is no real biological limit that im aware of like for women.

mid 40's is about the limit I'd say, though of course as been said from a biological point of view 44 should be no problem to actually father a child

nothing wrong with being a granpa at 40, but when you are 70 and your kids is 1, things will get a little strained as peole will automatically assume you are the grandparent

depends on the father imo.
my old man's 63 now and my youngest brother turned 10 last week.
agree it's not ideal, and there's a fairly big gap between me and my middle brother (both in our 30s now) and the little one but that's life!

well im 22 and my dad is 70 en still goes on lads holidays down the pub twice a week looks after me and the house. AND he has had cancer 3 times!!!! he is an insperation to me and my 37 year old half sister . so IMHO you are as old as you feal. its not about age its about how you feal about the situation imo!

foooooook that! i,m almost 40..... my oldest daughter is 16 this year..youngest is 14,

Dont listen to any1 who says its too old mate... its down to personal opinion. My dad was 45 when he had me and 48 when he had my sister and hes been a great dad!!! I like to think we've kept him young
