father in law has a 99 merc c-class cdi elegance, which hes trying to sell. however its developed an annoying problem. Basically the interior light is staying on when he remote locks it, instead of fading out, and all the alarm lights (ie hazards) flash constantly but the alarm doesnt sound.
hes taken it to a local garage who put it on a computer but it couldnt find a fault code, so hes been told to take it to a merc dealer. if its something that anyone is familiar with could you let me know, so he isnt lining the dealers pockets.
