Hello everyone, new member here, maybe you can help me out with some advice about the problem i have. Got a focus 2.0l zetec had a turbo conversion done near 2 year ago, was rolling roaded at 300 bhp @17/18 psi on the boost gauge then it got quite smokey, sent the turbo unit off to get looked at, needed new internals refitted but only reaching 12 psi on the gauge. AET who did the refurb said shouldnt have affected max boost as changed like for like, ok got me thinking maybe in the months leading up to the refurb the smokey oilly shit has in some way clogged the wastegate to restrict it as its the type that sits on the exhaust manifold taking exhaust gasses. The wastegate looks serviceable, could probably do it myself,is it possible.
