Default FAO - Anyone With Escort Cosworth Knowledge...

right we are talking about a T25 cosworth here...

I bought an uprated fuel pressure regulator and it arrived today, problem is i dunno if i need it...

all the digits onthe new one that i got are the exact same as the one thats already on it...

E.g.

" 350KPA 463
H 0280160526
V92 HF - 9P845-AA"

Coudl i already have an uprated one?

Fuel pump is advisable, but not essential. I have neither and on 303bhp the injectors run out of fuel way before pump and regulator .

you dont need an uprated pressure reg on a ST escos

I have a LT running just under 2 bar of boost and use one but i could get away with a std one

If you run loads of boost for about 1/2 hr with no fuel. Then yes.
If you get the fuelling checked at the time then if it's OK, it'll be fine for ages!!
As Dave said not really needed.

You dont need one, and the pressure reg you bought is standard.

How is it "uprated" maybe its squashed in a vice to up the pressure (seen it done before), in which case its shite as most cossie setups are made to run with STANDARD pressure.

Only use of a "uprated" fuel pressure reg is if its an adjustable one (and many cossies (all but esc cos i think) come with an adjustale one as std.

Uprated pump is a good plan, but regulator will make things worse unless the GGR chip specifies a higher than std fuel pressure.
