Default 4x4 to 2wd help needed

Hi All,

Tryed searching but didnt get much luck!!!

SO...

Iv just got myself a 4x4 sapphire cosworth nearly rolling(back only) but i want the car to be 2wd, if i was to buy a 4x4 front cross member, Bottom Arm, ARB etc would 2wd hubs fit and run on that setup ok and would the engine sit in the right place to then run 2wd setup at the back???

any help welcome James.

James if your on about front end with the 2wd hubs, the 4wd struts would not fit so need to be changed also

if your going from 4x4 to 2wd you will need to change the front hub's struts engine sump and gearbox

All I would do is use the 4x4 front hubs and just seperate and gut the outer C.V. joints and refit them to keep the bearings under compression. I can't see any issue with doing this. This the way I'm doing mine.

If you wanted to make a nicer job of it, you could have the cup section machined off the C.V. Joint for a neater look. Again, this is what I'm doing on mine.
