Default F**king eBayers

Sold a car on eBay which ended a week Saturday gone (13/03), stated on the advert that it was due to be collected within a week as I needed the space.

Spoke to the winning bidder on Monday (15/03) who said they were coming from Walsall to collect the said vehicle today (21/03), he explained that he was coming with a pickup transit so I told him i'd help load it up using the recovery vehicles I have here. Spoke again through the week giving directions, offering to meet them on the way down so he could follow me into my base etc, said he'd ring me on the day he was coming to clarify he was coming.

So good old me cancelled all my plans today, sat about waiting until 3pm when I called his number to find out what was going on. Wife/partner answers and says he's out and that he dont know where he is, goes on to say that she'll call his mums to see if he's there and call me back.

No returning phonecall.

Just rang again, he's still not back, he's out with his brother and she'll get him to call me when he's home.

I'd happily boy them off but it sold for mega strong money so want to hold out for his cash really.....

Why cant these people actually stick to a plan or at least have the courtesey to call and say they cant make it?

F**ks me off!

[/rant over]

Anyone else experience this??

i'm trying to sell my car on there aswell and its a fucking nightmare.

Ive lost count of the amount of people who have arranged to come and see the car and havent bothered there arse coming, If they changed there mind fair enough thats all they need to say. But when you spend time getting the car ready and cancel plans because they say there coming to see it, then they don't turn up it really pisses me off because they havent got the decency to give you a 2 second phone call to say there not coming, they just keep you hanging about like a tit.

It just goes to show how uncourteous some people can be!

I've always been honest when i've making plans after buying something but it seems like its always the honest people that get shat on....I remember seeing a Cavalier GSi for sale ages ago on another site, had frequent contact with the seller who assured me it was a minter so I organised a hire car, fueled it up, drove about 160 miles there (Herts to Broadstairs in Kent) viewed the car only to find that it looked like a 2 year old had painted it badly with a roller, the arches were shot, the engine leaked like a sieve, it wouldnt run properly etc...waste of a day that was! Turned out the seller had sent me 'recent' pictures of the car that were infact 4 years old from when it had new panels and a respray!

Theres some right a**eholes in the world

its not just ebay; i do a bit of work for a used car sales place.
On Saturday we had a guy phone to view a KA convertible we had, but it wasnt at the site as it belonged to the mechanics Mrs

we got her to change her plans; travel 25 minutes to drop the car off so we could give it a wash & hoover, stick it on the forecourt, stick her in another car........only for the bloke not to show up

now talk about piss taking!

I think the only way is to get a deposit into paypal but knowing how they always look out for the buyer they'd more than likely come up with a story to get it back .

If i ever say im coming to see a car i always turn up , cant see why people cant be honest when buying and also selling a car , works both ways .
