Just bought as above an Opitmate 4 battery charger.I have taken my trickle charger off the car now.I have read the instructions and am a bit confuses.
Do u leave the optimate 4 charger on the car permanently like the trickle charger or is it purely to check the battery and charge then take it off the battery?
So anyone who has one I hope u can help.

as above leave it on,mines been on my bike since october last year,it monitors the condition of the battery and charges as it needs to.

 

Great stuff,I will leave it on there then,excellent,that's what I'd hope somebody would say as I bought this to replace my trickle charger.

Had one permantely connected and turned on, on my Escort for 2 months without problems

 

What they said^^, for anyone else wanting one LIDL do thier own version, equally as good for £12.95, got this on the caravan.
