Looking for a new Hoover as our dyson decided to give up last night with a nice White glow coming from the motor, so does anyone know what's any good and if there are any good deals about?
Ps we have 3 cats!!

We've got 6 cats!. we had a henry which we thought was ok but the missus wanted a Dyson, I said to get the animal one but she got one of the ball ones. It's truly impressive to say the least. The first time we used it, it got up so much cat hair we didnt know was there. Im usually quite sceptical about these things but the Dyson really works.

I have a henry, the trusty bombproof little work horse BUT in the past had a Dyson and it was very impressive.
Personally I would think the Dyson has more sucking power and will lift the cat hair better than a Henry, he's a trusty little bugger but not as powerfull.
The first Dysons tended to have parts that broke, but then the second design (going back a few years) they had redesigned those flaws so guessing the latest versions will be pretty good all rounders.

We've had powerful 'regular' vacs including a Miele, but they're not a patch on the Dyson. I also can't see what the big deal is with Henrys? I'm sure they're very sturdy, but as a vac the ones we've got at work are shit. Really average suction.
I totally can't fault our Dyson, there's no way I'd ever go back to a normal vac.

Dyson's are great but the filters do need cleaning every month or so, even more so if you sucking up a lot of dust.
The amount of Dyson's i use in people houses at work that have basically no suction is unreal out with the filter a few bangs against the wall and its back to full power.
I have had a couple of customers give me broken Dyson's ,there busted as the filters are blocked and the motor cuts out. 10mins cleaning and there as good as new!!

Got two cats, using a Dyson DC02 - always works well.
We've had this hoover for well over 8+ years! Only need to replace the filter and the rolling brushes, that's all. Parts are always available online.

20K+ Super Poster.
BISSEL, hepa filter, esp as got pets.
I don't know about one a month for cleaning filters though, ours NEED doing every week, takes about 1/2 hour, has 3 to do, rips up carpet if loose at all, and also the cylinder part lifts out as a seperate part to use on it's own if wished, to do car etc.
That's the best one we've had but was about £300.
