Default Nitrous...

Right guys,need some info.
What's the max level of Nitrous injection a 2.0 turbo 16v engine could handle?.Let's say the static C/R is around 7.8/8.1fitted with forged pistons, head studs, steel multi layer head gasket, forged steel h section con.rods,Flex-honed bores and L8 weber injection, more or less a Cosworth engine.
Would the internals handle a properly programmed Nitrous controller fed 150hp?.
Thoughts?,experiences?.

In terms of it working....

150bhp no problem at all, done it loads of times on different engines at the 100-150bhp ballpark.

Double that if you set it up right and the ehxaust side of things is free flowing enough.

But how you expect anyone to tell you if your internals can take that when you havent said what power you have to start with is beyond me, you could be on 800bhp on a set of cheap steel rods now and already taking risks for all we know

And what about the block itself?
550-600bhp on my LET block and it shat itself, but all my nice shiney steel internals are still fine, just the block isnt, likewise on Rod's YB when he went to the push sytem on it on the old engine.

Good point chip, well the engine's a Vw 2.0 twin-cam 9A with JE forged pistons and h section conrods,no cheap chinese shiyte either.
The exhaust is a full 3" from turbo to tail pipe, the turbo is a roller bearing Garrett T4 and Pectel super 8 injection.
As far as power of the engine i havn't got a clue mate as rolling roads in Rome are non exsistent.
Basicly i want to overcome some lag and make power with the nitrous. Reprogramming the ecu here in Rome is going to be very difficultso i'm hoping to get away with the sierra ignition Pectel map from GGR when using the n20
No MSD or turbosystems here mate...

Sounds a dangerous game to be playing with hoping for the best on a map.
Just get aftermarket management!

at what point would you need to remove ignition? would you generally get away with 50-60bhp jets without remapping?

Yes typically on a 2 litre turbo you will get away with 50bhp without needing to pull any ignition, especially if you deliberately run the kit a little on the rich side.
