which would be best?????

i dont care if it's a bit rough on road, as it wont get many road miles

I asume the less surface area of clutch the better!?

thats strange....what about a twin and triple plate then......much more surface...

either WILL do 4 plate will be harsher on your leg thou and be like an on/off switch!

I have just bought the Alcon for my 4b due to my mates,the feels like its got a standard clutch really soft peddle if thats any help

as neither are cheap and i'd prefer ti have the longer lasting one

depends how you drive it

i woudl say 6 paddle will last longer

both can be relined for Ł75 anyways so when they wear jsut have them resurfaced

i mean do you ride the clutch

i learnt afteer warping my old flywheel the clutch is best used on or off if your on a hill use the handbrake lol

i never ride the clutch in me cossie now my fiesta gets all the abuse, ive allready had a new gearbox and clutch in that

True,when i got mine they (woodford garage) ask what i was using the the car for i told them the track mostly they said 6 paddle then he also told me that the clutch would not last long if i do a lot of launches,i think the guy was called Simon.

Be aware that any of the paddle clutches will put a strain on the standard ratchet mechanism and you would be well advised to change it for either the GGR manual set up (at the very least) or hydraulic it. This will then remove the clutch dragging / pedal sticking to the floor problems when giving it large.

mike my pedal has started to creak

liek a wodden trap door squeaks for brittain every time i put the clutch down

what is the setup you mentioned above (not the mega Ł hydraulic setup)

i was just gonna replace my clutch cable again

Speak to Josh at GGR and tell him I sent you - from memory it is under Ł100, but it is an absolute bastard to fit .

It won't stop the clutch cables from snapping though .

i havent had one go yet but it is well loud creak when i push the clutch pedal

Martoon does it! thye prices r on his site!

the GGR thingsy is Ł150 on their website!

& it says Ł25.74 for a GGR Clutch Cable! any idea if this is any better than standard!?

Use an AP 4 paddle Spikey
As Mike says the standard cable/ratchet is shite but it will be ok until you have spare funds to go hydraulic
