Default Ultimate STD geometry yb road spec?

Right chaps, my sapphire is going to be due an engine freshen up soon, I'm thinking about blitzing it in the summer in a few weeks, as I have 95% of the parts already.

Currently the engine spec is:

7.4:1 cosworth pistons
STD crank/rods
200 block non-longstudded
lightly ported head
STD exhaust cam, bd14 inlet with STD pullys
2wd exhaust manifold, 4x4 inlet with no spacer
044 fuel pump with HKS reg, 850cc injectors already on Msd wasted spark/closed loop etc.
L8 Ecu
full 3" mongoose.
Was mapped on an Rs500 T4, bur have just fitted a rollerbearing maram 247 shafted T4, but not driven the car yet so not sure how it will go.

Now, my options are as follows:

1) just get it map checked as it is with the new turbo, but with ALS and launch control fitted, risking it needing a rebuild fairly soon.

2) Rebuild to current spec, but doing a "top and tail" job, just a refresh hopefully keeping the cosworth pistons just with a new set of rings, but adding a few bits like a decent inlet manifold etc? Not too bad cost wise.

3) use all the mega bits I have collected like 8.5:1 je pistons, my spare long stud block etc and h section rods... Lots of £ potentially but I own most of the bits I need already? But would need full remap..

I want Als and lc which ever way I go, but what would be the best spec do you recon for mega drivability with 500+ bhp? I also have a gt35 sat waiting to go on somthing?

for me , unless your going mega powered with a worked over head id refresh your current spec , as you are you got to be knocking on the 450+ side ?

although i would think using that longstudded block would benafit ?

im sure wenny had a simialar spec and was over 500 ?

how much was the roller t4 fella ?

I would say stick with your current spec m8 and get it live mapped to make the most of it, your spec is similar to mine and Tony said would make near 480 horses

Had a bit of a bargin on the T4, considering it is maram shafted as well, I paid 1k for it, and sold my 2000 mile old T4 for £850, so it effectivly cost me £150!! , although fitting has been a complete cunt due to the gt front housing, so have had to buy a spacer block and going to have to buy a new oil feed as well.

I just want 500+bhp but with as much torque and drivability as possible, not after mega numbers, just an awesome drivable road engine. I'm hoping the roller T4 will be as good as a t34 for spool and response as a few people have claimed!

Beauty is car already has coilovers, ap brakes and a zoo 6 degree rear beam with a 10.5" jag diff, and a t5 box. So hopefully it should stand a bit of abuse! If the box breaks will prob go tko or t56?

No mate I bought it already done, but if you want to have a look you are more than welcome anytime. Also I have a spare jag open diff and rear beam if you want to borrow them to size up?

Yes beef, will drop you my number tomorrow.

Msd will be mapping it, not sure if 8.5:1 would be too high?

i'm in the same boat as your mate, building a 500+bhp engine.
everyone is always going on about using standard comp or higher but i think there's only mark who likes mapping like this and does'nt map l8 ecu etc.

i've spoke to a few top tuners and they have all said lower the cr for 500+bhp.
msd like a lower cr to mate so i would speak to them before building your engine if they are mapping it.
