If I was after a Jag, I'd get an XF. If I wanted a big cruiser, I'd get a Merc CLS or Audio A/S8. Having seen a few driving about for months (and one in camo back in spring last year, plus side to living in Solihull!!), I can't help but think it's lost some of the grace of the previous big jags and, dare I say, perhaps even looks a bit Korean.
Did anybody see that car on top gear that was a bad copy of a Rolls Royce Phantom? Well that's what the new XJ reminds me of - it's a pastiche, a charicature, of a modern Jaguar.

If the EVO road test is anything to go by its like the XF, a better drivers car than the equivalent model from other manufacturers.
If they have the quality under controll they have a VERY impressive and stylish model range at the moment. The XF/XK/XJ are world beaters
Good luck to them......ruddy indians lol

Must say having driven the new XJ it handles like the new XF and nothing like XJs of old interior was huge let down the cabin is absolutely tiny front and rear 6 footers will be forced to buy long wheel base model. Im only about 5'10 and my knees upto steering wheel no room to spread your legs apart around the wheel either with seat far back as it goes with little headroom up front and the back forget it small kids only. Really is fucking tiny inside the big high cushy seats makes things worse too, I think roofline is way too low for design reasons more than anything ignoring the driver and passengers ability to actually fit inside. All the controls like steering wheel vents dials and switches feel cheap and fragile.
Steerings way way too light and devoid of any feel although its quick steering thers very little feedback but everything else handling to performance wise is better than german rivals at same price brackets. The XF is far more spacious comfortable and better all round model wheras XJ just shoot itself in the balls - twice
