seems the mappers dont like K3 lol, fair enough . Whats the prices and mods for a GEMS unit to be used? I run a standard car and it wont be drifting away too much from this other than the usual fast road setup. Think K3 is about Ł675 listed, plus the rr day and the little bits to make work.

mate, dont take this the wrong way, but if you dont want an ecu to do anything other than what every other ECU does then stick with the factory item, they are emense for an old ecu.
If you are thinking of Gems then I can get you a good price but it will start at about Ł1250 plus vat and your loom will need to be modded to take the plug. these are not bottom end units, these are in the same performance league as Motec/Pectel etc just halp the price.
it really is incredible how much you can make it do, if you are browsing it without a dongle, your only seeing a 1/3rd of what it can do.
if you need any info just ask. (though the forum is run by Gems technical team, and there telephone support is great)

na mate of course not , cheers for the advice . At Ł1250 i wouldn,t consider it but a lower priced ecu seems to be more benificial for a yb. I know the standard stuff is good enough but i want a more capable unit . Low budget on (L6) my original idea was , shall i go msd for chip & wasted spark . The k3 wont be much more after fitting, once in its a simple remap each time i change anything. For me its the non chip technology that attracts me with fine idle,s and better boost control.plus i can still have a wasted spark ignition. Horses for courses i guess.
