Default rolling road

took the car for maping at baileyperformance yesterday the car made 260bhp and 340ft/lb at 4000 revs well chuffed its running right now,dale is the man next thing is a better cam

its a 2.9 twin turbo and that was at the flywheel it made 240 at the wheels

240 at the wheels would equate to nearer 280 engine bhp mate rwd.

Was that at only 4000rpm as well

Did they not map it any higher ?

I imagine the 340lb/ft was at 4000rpm.

yea its limited to 6000rpm to stop the bottom end wobling but got best results a 4000 rpm

Way too little trans loss, as christian says max torque will be the 4000rpm figure, but max bhp should have been nearer 6K, no way it loses only 20bhp through trans though.

yea it made 261.6 at the fly wheel and 242.1 at the wheels and had a loss of 19.2 through the trans at 77.4mph and 4300 revs just lloking at the sheet

the car is 2wd and the rollers are 550bhp not sure on the make

with 242 at the wheels it would be more likely 290 ish at the fly..
a 2wd car has around 17-18% loss

Rich mate if it makes you grin like a cheshire cat does it really matter what numbers it makes! You have built a tractable/torquey engine and car to go with it! Ideal for where we live in north wales. You also did this with no garage or specialist tools! Fair play to ya! Any way it sounded f**king awsome when you overtook me in conwy tunnel on the way home!

on the runs ive done in rwd it is consistantly 15 % loss. which would mean 283 bhp for 240 atw.

youve never been on a dd rr then???


iv probably had over a 1000 2wd cars on rrs that calculate a run down and have seen anything between 14-22% losses thats where the descrepencies come from and thats why the dd rrs i actualy agree with as the losses are set and thats 18% on a 2wd cossie..

i have actually mate

542 bhp 461 rwhp exactly 15 %.
ran a cossie on dastek 472 bhp 408 rwhp 14 %.

i can see they will vary though between different rolling roads

thats wierd i was told they are fixed losses as i had a full demo and lots of use with dd rrs iirc it was 17 or 18% on a 2wd cossy

it was on a skyline rwd at rsp. surely they cant have car specific set % losses though ? as i understand it its just a set loss for rwd rollers on dd.

you rr alot more cars than me mate i was just telling the guy what i have seen with my own eyes

cant remember if its one for all or if theres a couple of of programes just know its deffo 17 or 18% on 2wd cossies...
