Take the emotion of a hurt dog out of it and it's just a case of someone having an unexpected bill to pay and needing to borrow money. Nothing unusual there, I suspect everyone has been in a situation like that at some point. (hence my engine comparison)

It doesn't matter if they get given 1 million or 1 pound, the situation for the dog is exactly the same.

I know my point is unpopular but IMO all that charity should be going somewhere more needy. There are a million things more deserving IMO.

I hope hes ok and that after the op he will get most of his usage of his legs back.
I myself lost Zac, my Rottie who wasnt even 2 years old,back in January of last year, whilst he wasnt run over, he did fall ill and had to go the vets, within 3 days we had run up a vet bill of £1400 but they still couldnt save him (well done to the vets who tried and the vet who stayed up for nearly 72 hours without sleep looking after Zac!!!) so i know how easily and quickly the bills can mount up.

I also know how much a dog who will be bought as a "dog" turns in to a family member very quickly.

After i get paid i will throw a couple of ££'s your way, unfortunaely im a bit short having paying out £500 for a fence to be rebuilt last weekend due to my puppy destroying my fence to get to a cat grrrr. (fence rebuilt and another to stop the dogs geting on to the garden, where the grass used to be, which will be re-turfed this spring)

It absolutely astounds me to see people taking the piss out of a very difficult situation we have been put in, having digs and generally being ridiculously bothered about something they obviously have no need to respond to if its something they dont agree with. One thing i have come to realise about Passionford is there are a lot of people who genuinely care about other people, with about 75% of people who are absolute arse holes, seeing fit to make awful comments as and when it suits them with little regard of how it affects people.

What started out as a basic thread explaining what happened to our beloved puppy ended up being a pretty heated discussion about people wishing to donate money to help people out, who never so much asked for a penny, or ever intended anyone so much as offer to give us anything other than kind words.

When we first got the PM saying someone wanted to donate, we didnt know what was the RIGHT decision - to accept and feel cheeky that we are being a " charity case" or to decline and look completely rude, knowing full well that its crippling us financially to get him sorted out.

It isn't an enviable position to be in when you know that your own pet is suffering, thanks to the absolute disgrace of insurance companies and their attempts of getting out of paying something we shouldn't be.

We are going to the insurance ombudsman to contest the claim - and should we be successful, every person who donated will be repaid.

To the haters who commented on cars etc - Does a car feel pain? Does a car NEED repairing when its broken immediately? You cannot compare that to any living breathing human/animal, its NOT the same thing whatsoever.

You should be ashamed of the way you conduct yourselves on this forum, its ridiculous.

And thanks to everyone who has been so generous without us ever wanting a penny- we cannot thank you enough!

this year i have had a huge bill to pay due to an inland rev fuck up, a van and tools stolen in january worth over 7k, not payed out by the insurance , but wouldnt exspect help.As that is in some way my bad.

However if one of my Bullies was ran over and people wanted to be kind hearted and help ,then thats fine imo

I know some people wont agree with sending them money to try help out because they have already borrowed the money, this post was never to ask each and every member on here to donate anything, just for the one's that wanted to from the main thread.

don't you start i can't remember anything about your personal life, but i'm sure that if i mention something that might have been posted about someone random by someone random on some bit of the internet someone will believe that you are the scourge of the tax paying individual and should be made to eat happy shopper beans and not splash out on luxuries such as hienz variety as this means you are getting too much in benifits payments
