Just want to say a massive thankyou to everyone with their kind words and donations towards Murphys recovery.
We dont expect anyone to give us a penny and we are really touched that people are going out of their way to help us.
Really does mean a lot to us both. Just off to ring the surgeon now, so will update this later.
Many thanks again,
Lee & Sarah

My worry here is the biting incidence, yes he is in pain and is understandable BUT i assume you have young kids? Be very careful as say for instance the child (once fully recovered dog) accidentaly steps on his foot etc, you know the outcome We got a Rottweiler here that tore her crucial knee ligament whilst running and getting too lairy and she collasped in agony but i was able to cuddle her and do my best to calm her down, no biting/aggression, nothing. I understand your dog is young BUT the dog will always snap like this when in pain. My opinion is get im fixed up at a PDSA/RSPCA unit and i am sorry to say (IF you have young kids) get him adopted. Furthermore look at makinmg sure you have a fail safe parimeter for a dog ours have 2 gates to get out of now as we only had the one once and one of our boys got out and pinned a postman to the fence
This is NO WAY a cock reply i am a dog lover NO not in that way!

Our Murphy will send Your Murphy a donation as am 110% sure you would do the same if the boot was on the other foot. Our murphy escaped once and it was a horrible experience and luckily we got him back unscathed.
Get well soon little buddy Woof Woof

I don't really understand this? The treatment has been paid for, isn't everyone just giving money for the sake of it?
Whats next, if someone has a boiler break down and it's not covered by home insurance, will there be a passionford whip-round?
Not being a cock but if everyone wants to give money away, there are better choices. Something like children orphaned by aids in Africa seems more deserving than someone who has a hurt dog and drives a cossie.
Just my opinion (doubt it will be popular)...

I already donate £35 a month, dogs trust, NSPCC, and a indian child sponsor.
The best thing to send to africa imo is a condom, until they get thier head around having more babies makes the problem worse not better it will be never ending, oh sorry not allowed to say that as thier religion doesn't let them, well it's thier religion that should provide then imo.
And where exactly does the money go to that gets donated to africa, for someone private leer jet, palaces etc.

'They have borrowed the money'.
The key word there is borrowed, so it has to be paid back. Do you understand?

Benni, so what? People borrow money for all sorts of reasons. The fact is, the operation has been done and the funds were secured. They can pay the money back, it's obvious they have assets they can sell (cossie).
There is no difference if their car puts a rod through the block and needs a new engine. If they take a loan out, does everyone pay towards it because they feel sorry for them?
Tabetha, not really interested in what your saying about a particular charity, it was just an example. You can't say you know exactly where the money will be going in this case.

I've got the address if you want to post it?
This was posted up as people offered to help out when the insurance wouldn't pay out,
they did borrow the money and hopefully the op has gone well, but yet still people wanted to make donations to them,
which I think shows what a good site this can be at time's

do one, perve
Hes at the orthopaedic vets now, he will have his operation on Monday, theyve got him on morphine to reduce the pain before the operation, as the vet nurse said the worse the pain before the op, the worse it would be after the op, so they want to keep him as pain free as possible.
So hoping hes gonna be on the mend very soon, feels so weird him not being here
