Had a few emails from my Mum today about various things. On the bottom of each one she kept writing LOL. I called and asker her why she was laughing out loud on the bottom of each email.

She said" Oh, I thought it meant lots of love"

Mothers, bless 'em.

 

I had an email from a colleague the other day and took me a while to realise that "ATM" meant "at the moment" which wasnt what I thought she was talking about

 

LOL many years ago did mean Lots of Love apprently so you can forgive your mum for that.

i had a spanish colleague who couldn't say "hard disk" and used to say "hard dicks"

 

Yep. My mum uses that. I thought she was being harsh when she texted me once saying:

"Just to let you know Molly next door died in the night. LOL. Mum x"

 

 

My grandad is as old as the hills and has decided he wants to get involved with the world wide web and computers etc, which is pretty cool considering his age. However, the stuff he comes out with is priceless, he calls google 'doodle', floppy disks are 'sloppy disks', he goes on about reading someones 'blob' rather than their blog, you have to be there but it's funny when he just comes out with it and has no incling he's getting it wrong
