No thats not normal, it should last abit longer.
I have the newer n95 8gb and it lasts about 2 maybe 3 days with texts and a few short calls.
You can get batterys on amazon for £2-3 but it doesnt say whether its a nokia one or not.
To be honest in 1.5 years ive never thought the battery was shit considering the amount of tasks the phone can do.

There is that too, just press and hold the menu key then it will bring up a small menu, it should just say "stand by" if you have nothing running, if you do just select the programme in the list and close it, job done

it is original. the problem is, I received it in just a plastic wrap, not with its full plastic when you buy it from the shops. he told me its because of the postage, and is a top rated seller
Just done the stand by mate and all was ok. I even updated it last time

Ryan i asked on another forum and one guy said this.
" my N95 will last a few days on one charge if I don't do much with it. If I leave it on the bookshelf I could probably get the best part of a week out of it.
And it's original battery is still going strong nearly 3 years on.
I just had a look and there are several ebay sellers with "genuine" bl5f batteries for under a fiver, if you go to a semi reputable online shop then they are around £20, with a couple of places having them a little cheaper.
Now why would that be?"
I think hes saying you probably bought a fake battery hence why it was so cheap

The fact that it has Nokia stickers on it means nothing - the fact that it was 6 quid strongly implies that it's counterfeit. Pretty much all the cheap eBay electronic stuff like memory cards, phone chargers etc are cheap copies.
There are things you can do to 'calibrate' new batteries to help extend their life but yours sounds like it's just shit!
Get your hand in your pocket and get a proper one

The battery used to last me 4 to 5 days with the latest firmware update on the good old Nokia !
