Such a good engine, i remember in the town we lived in (Okehampton), there was a lad with a Mk1 Escort RS2000 and another lad with a 131 Sport, always ragging it round town after each other, just fucking awesome!!!!

just for you mate ,a guy from ireland mad about his 131s
During my recent holiday in Italy I followed up a lead on a Fiat 131 Racing that had been advertised for sale. It was being stored by the owner (a genuine Fiat enthusiast who also owns an Abarth Stradale and a 125 rally car) at a garage owned and run by real Fiat enthusiasts. The garage was a de-commissioned Fiat service station so was fully equipped and appeared to be owned and run by a chap who gave the impression that he lived and breathed Fiats from an early age. His 2 sons worked with him and despite our almost incomplete inability to converse in a common language, I spent about 2 hours in their company being shown a treasure trove of cars and parts.
The abarth was mid restoration as you can see from the pics and the standard of work seemed to be extremely high - It will be a very nice car when they are finished!
Anyway hope you enjoy the images. Apologies for the lack of flash on the camera which introduced a little camera shake on the darker shots. They are very proud of their work and rightly so..!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I owned a 16 valve Integrale but without any doubt the 2 wheel drive Sapph I now own is better.
The integrale was great fun to drive (no better than the sapph) and great to look at etc but it's one of those cars that looks better than it is. To own they are always going wrong and the electrics are as bad as they say
