Default cosworth engine help

as above really im knew to this and just bought a 2wd drive saff starts first time but smokes abit been told to do the piston rings,tappets, stem seals,bearings and headgasket as well as a new dizzy cap and oil change just wondering really what price am i looking at for parts and then labour for somebody to do this cheers

wasnt exspecting that looks like im saving for a while lol cheers lads hopefully itl be worth it when i get the car sorted

not always as easy as changing the rings either, if the bore is worn then you will need it boring out to oversize and going up a size in pistons ! not all that cheap, your best bet is ringing a cosworth engine builder that you would be happy to do it and ask them for a price mate

ok mate cheers i knew that but wasnt exspecting it to cost that much a mate has got somebody for me to try so ill get a price ect and start saving lol

as said not as cheap as u think when u have to things like jimbo said, plus by the time u buy engine gaskets fluids etc!!

Plus u may find the valve guides may be damaged and need replacing too, then when taking the head off may be damage to it or its been skimmed to fuck etc etc!! endless list lol..

The other option u have is to keep ur eye out on a whole engine on here for sale, im sure some of the breakers will still have some coming their way now and again!!
