Get a scangauge mate £100 and does a whole lot more than just temp, plus it just plugs into the OBD (?) socket so really easy to fit.

Unhappy

where is best to buy one from? £100 aint bad. i had a problem where the car overheated and now i dont feel comfortable driving any where. ive had the car for years but the thought of overheating again is too stressfull. im afraid to drive it cos i just dont know how hot it is. there should be no problem now, as i lost water from a pinched thermostat housing seal. all has been sorted but i just cant enjoy the drive any more.

The coin tray is in my opinion the best place

Can't remember who's car that was in, but i remember saving the picture as i thought it was the perfect mounting solution!

I think you need either a ST170 or Ghia surround to mount the carbon plate to and i think the dash itself needs a small amount of 'behind the scenes' trimming to accomodate the scangauge unit.
