Default CCTV Help needed.

Basically we have cctv at home with 2 camera's, the main unit records on to a cassete player.

How do i connect an old PC tower to it to enable to record 24/7.

Any links/advice on how to do it would be of great help.

Thanks Phil

you need a dvi card that slots into the pc. one of these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4CH-50FPS-CCTV...item2eab5b8c42

you do away with the old cassette recorder

or you can get a usb version

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-CH-USB-2-0-D...item33594254d3

these all work with standard bnc connection camera,s, if you have cameras that are paired to your recorder with special plugs then you will either have to cut off the plugs and work out the wiring or buy new cameras, you can get a reasonable camera for £50

And make sure you have a good, fast HDD (i.e. 7200rpm) and about 8MB of cache for better writes/reads. And loads of space!!
