241.63mph in a mile.
Yep. It's rear wheel drive...

"Yeah, I took my orange Lambo to the mile event this year. For it to be tech'd for the 190+ class it had to have a parachute, cage w/ harnesses, and fire system. The parachute looks sick on it and was custom installed using existing holes, etc so no drilling or anything. The cage looks clean and is behind the factory seats.
I had never been to a mile event before so this was all new to me. I had a blast. My 4th pass I ran a 241.63mph, which was second only to SW who ran a 243mph. We weren't necessarily going for the overall record, but at least a Lamborghini record. Technically SW is in the same class we're in, but his car is pretty gutted. We are running full weight. After running the 241, I knew the car had a little more in it, but I had to leave right then to catch my flight out of Houston. I was just happy to run over 240. The next highest mph car was a TTViper I believe than ran a 228.
The car felt very good at that speed and was still pulling HARD! It pulls as hard in 6th as it does in 2nd. I was still being pinned in my seat at the mile mark. Nobody has ever run 240+ and not used the chute...gotta love the 8 piston Lambo brakes.
In the past 2 months, for preparation of the mile, we replaced the AEM w/ a Motec setup, upgraded the throttle bodies, did extensive headwork, changed the gearing in the tranny (all w/ custom hardened gears), custom head studs, and some other things. We dynoe'd the car at 30lbs of boost and made 1443rwhp. For the 241.63 pass we were running 34lbs of boost and should have been in the 1550rwhp range.
It is now the 4th fastest street car to ever run in the mile and the only full weight car. The other 3 were gutted cars, but run in the streetcar class because interior is not something they class. The record is 246.2 right now, which was made back in March. My car still has the factory heated electric seats, navigation, rear back up camera, 6 disc changer, front air lift system, etc. The only thing removed from the car for the mile was the floormats, which was a requirement.
That speed in very intense and goes by fast. This is not a prepped track, but a normal asphalted runway too. Glad to be home....in one piece!"
If it's a repost, I don't give a fuck.

Awesome cars but these are people with slightly more money than Rod !
Lets not forget thats Rods is also a 2litre turbo so tiny in comparison and possibly at the top of its game for what it is anywhere in the world.
It does look stunning though ! Just watching the video now

Yeah, lets compare...
Rods Saph - 2 litre turbo and aerodynamics of a brick on a limited budget.
Lambo - 5 litre V10 with brand new cutting edge technology i.e better aerodynamics than a brick and an unlimited budget.

Proper, proper car looks the biz
Respect to him, Rod and anyone else for having a go at these top speed runs, must get very unnerving at any where near 200mph, especially in an old sierra!!
