sparkey help please
hi lads can some one help me please as about 2 years back we had a lad come and do some wall papering and gess wot he got water in the switch upstairs which went bang so i got a new one but as i was swoping the wires over i must over got the order rong . we have a switch down stairs and one up stairs so we can turn the light of from ever end . but we have put up with it not working right all this time as if you turn it on up stairs you can only turn it off up stairs and the same down stairs this is a drowing of wot we have got . So can some one finish the drowing of so i can see were the wires go to to get it working right please
looks to me like you have a wirre missing mate is the downstairs switcha 2-gang jobbie
if it is chances are there will be a permanent live coming from the common of the other switch of the downstairs switch and the two cables you have marked as L & N will be the strappers which go into 1 & 2 of both switchs down and upstairs and the wire that goes to the landing light will go to com or c
is the house a few years old as this was common practice to use the live from the downstairs circuit and the neutral from upstairs (now not allowed as all circvuits must be electrically seperate,an easy fix usually by a competent sparks but also by no means anything to lose sleep over)

A BIG BIG thanks mate from wot you put up i sorted the up stairs wireing and it turn out he had a go at the down stairs as we was away on holiday at the time and he had move the wires about in the swich . its all done now im so so happy the wife just said to me its only tuke you 2 fucking years and rolled her eyes at me
