Lake District....
I've been offered a free weekend break for 2 nights in the Lake District at a place of my choice through work (some spot award shit or something!!), can anyone recommend a decent hotel / spa in the area that we can stay at? Cost is irrelevant as i'm not paying! Also what is there to do up there?

ive not lived there for many years,but.the swan hotel,at newby bridge used to be good.
close to lake windermere, hotel over the road had a nightclub.
excellent driving roads at night,just watch for the headlamps coming the other way lol.
search on the net,as things may have changed.

lol, god knows mate, wouldnt surprise me!! Would like somewhere where they have like a health spa or something with pool etc.....

Hey mate, make sure you come when the weather is semi-decent and take Hardknot, Kirkstone and Wrynose Pass!
