Is Rob breaking his Astra or getting a new engine? Did he ever get his manifold back?

We're possibly doing a swap, and he is going to rebuild my nova bottom end into a new block.
Im getting rid of it as I want to go Saab power, but if I get Rob's engine in the deal it would be a useful temporary measure till I get the Saab lump all sorted.

Yes, he got it all back from Nortech after only 7 months and it was nearly finished too

next time it is!
after going in with Mike R i really cant see how mine would compare to it

i was totally gutted when i couldnt go on track, i had done some new suspension mods the week before so i could compete well, after being told NO i static thinking, is it work the hassle, break it? turbo it? sc it?

at the moment i wll try an air box, if that fails, i will then decide what to do

see coment above, it shocks me we are laping the same times at combe, as martin can really pedal it around there

today, i found a doc that gives me Speed per ger on my 1.6 box, i was led to beleive that 7400 ( my limit) in 5th which i regular hit on straights was 120 well i was wrong, it's actually 140

my speedo under reads a fair bit

so when i tell people i only get 120 at combe and they are getting faster speeds, i'm always under stating mine.

i'm happy with that

As you've said you must do well round there to be matched with reyland's mg on slicks, does go well round combe that! If you're indeed doing a genuine 140 down the straight at combe then that's also very very quick for the sort of power i'd imagine your car has (circa200bhp??) and with the speed you must carry through the corners is why you're doin so well When you watch the saloons and realise that the class D 1.4's can do 1.21's on road tyres you realise what can be done! From what i can gather you've only ever had problems with noise at bedford so unless it's your local track i wouldn't let it worry you too much!

Been thinking of this, I don't hit the limiter in 5th at combe, so I must top out about 120-125
